Educational Qualification: Kolkata Police Law Institute is one of its kind in the country, as it offers quality legal education in terms of 5-Year BA LLB course after 10+2, primarily for the wards of serving and retired personnel of both Kolkata Police and West Bengal Police, 3-Year LLB course exclusively for in-service police personnel of Kolkata Police, West Bengal Police and other government organizations. It is happy to note that 2-Year LLM course, affiliated to the University of Calcutta has been introduced at KPLI preferably for in-service personnel of Kolkata and West Bengal Police. Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent. Applicant must have obtained at least 45% marks in best four subject (for SC/ST/PWD candidates at least 40% marks in best four subject).
