Application Guidelines – Visva Bharati University Online Admission 2021:–
The applicant must follow the instructions mentioned below to avoid any disaccord during the Application process.
i. Candidate must apply through Online vbu.ucanapply.com/entrance.
ii. The qualifying marks of the Admission Test shall be 30 out of 100 for General & EWS candidates and 27 out of 100 for OBC candidates. There shall be no qualifying marks in the case of SC& ST candidates.
iii. Applicants must produce their original final mark sheets of previous public examinations and other relevant documents along with self-attested photo-copies at the time of admission to various courses failing which his/her candidature will not consider for access.
iv. In the case of grading system in 10+2 result, the applicants must obtain the percentage of marks for their grades mentioned in the mark sheet’s otherwise, the minimum marks in the range against the class will be considered for the calculation.
v. The candidates must bring a medical certificate from any hospital or doctor with registration number at the time of admission.
vi. The merit list for access to various undergraduate courses will be made based on the results of 10+2 or equivalent examination.
vi. Incomplete applications are liable to be summarily rejected.

About Visva-Bharati University
Founded by the first non-European Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thākur(popularly known as Tagore) in 1921, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a central university and an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament in 1951. The President of India is the Paridarsaka (Visitor) of the University, the Governor of West Bengal is the Pradhana (Rector), and the Prime Minister of India acts as the Acharya (Chancellor). The President of India appoints the Upacharya (Vice-chancellor) of the University.
A CENTRAL UNIVERSITY In May 1951, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a Central University and “An Institution of National Importance” by an Act of Parliament. It was granted the status of a unitary, teaching and residential university. The status and function of all the major institutions have been redefined in successive Amendments.
