Earlier, to get anew Voter ID, we had to visit the Tehsil office multiple times, fill out forms, and waste a lot of time. But now, times have changed, and the government has made this facility completely online.
Now, in just a few minutes, you can download your new Voter ID Card directly from your mobile. This digital card is available in PDF format, which you can save on your phone and also take a printout for any government or private work. This digital card is considered just as valid as the original physical ID.
In this article, we will understand step by step how to download a Voter ID from home using the Voter App, with just your mobile. There is no need to visit any office, pay any agent, or waste your time.
Voter Card Download Process:
Step 1:
Open the Google Play Store on your mobile and download the Voter Helpline App.
Step 2:
Once the app is installed, open it. If you are using it for the first time, you will need to register your mobile number. Click on New User.
Step 3:
Enter your 10-digit mobile number and click Send OTP. You will receive an OTP on the given number.
Step 4:
After receiving the OTP, enter your First Name and Last Name exactly as they appear on your Voter Card. Enter the OTP and click Submit.
If the information is correct, you will see a message saying registration is successful, and you will reach the Login Page.
Step 5:
To log in, enter the same mobile number again, click Send OTP, enter the OTP you receive, and select Login Now. The app homepage will now open.
Step 6:
You will see many options here. Click on Download e-EPIC.
Step 7:
The app provides multiple options to download your Voter ID Card.
If you already have your EPIC Number (Voter Number), you can choose Yes, I Have EPIC No. and directly download the card.
But if you don’t have your EPIC Number or your Voter Card is lost, choose Search by Detail.
Step 8:
You will see four options to search for your Voter Card:
- Search by Mobile Number – Enter your mobile number and state to get details.
- Search by QR Code – Scan the QR code on your old Voter Card.
- Search by Detail – Enter name, age, state, and district to find information.
- Search by EPIC Number – Directly enter your EPIC Number.
We will use Search by Detail here. Enter correct details (name, age, state, district) and click Search.
Step 9:
Within a few seconds, your Voter ID Card details will appear, including your EPIC Number. Make sure to note this number down.
Step 10:
Now go back to the previous page and select Yes, I Have EPIC No.
Enter your EPIC Number, select your state, and click Fetch Details. Once your details appear, click Proceed.
Step 11:
You will receive another OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click Verify & Download EPIC.
Step 12:
After OTP verification, your new Voter ID Card will be downloaded in PDF format. You can save it on your mobile or take a printout for any use. This digital Voter Card is as valid as the physical card.
Today, the government issues Voter ID Cards in digital format, which include advanced security features like QR Codes. Therefore, anyone can download their new Voter ID Card from their mobile in just a few minutes.
